Stars and Stripes

For some reason our neighbour has put up the American flag. Tonight I went for a short walk after supper. The air was still and clear after the rain and birds flew up on the path in front of me. They seem impossible to capture with the camera. When they spread out their wings and fly low over the ground they are flickers of white against the green and blue of the mountain side. As I leaped over a narrow creak two ducks literally flew up from under my feet. I must have taken them by surprise and their flapping wings and clacking beaks made my heart jump. I shall have an early night to be ready for my jog tomorrow.

Hmm... I can't set the pictures the way I want. They all show up at the top of the post even though I try to upload some of them at the end. I wonder how I can get the text surrounded by pictures and not just having them at the top?

On the photo up-load page... did you try clicking the "none", "left", "center", or "right" buttons? I've never really used them on my blog, but they will format where your text goes in relation to your pictures.

I really like photo of the yellow flower. Flowers can be really difficult to photograph sometimes. I think that you did great job capturing that image.

Thanks Rainey, those are the ones I’ve tried, but still the pictures seem to show up in only one place: the top of the post. Most peculiar!

You know, the picture of the yellow flower was taken by my boyfriend, so I cannot take credit for that :o) I like it too.
