Playful Puppies

The puppies are getting really cheeky and daring. Lately they have discovered where we store the dog food and now they venture into the shed to grab a bite as soon as we turn our backs. Naturally, they are more than welcome to help themselves as we’re only interested in them getting as big and strong as possible.
They are well over three months of age and we hope this means that they have outlived the dreaded parvovirus which normally strikes the puppies when they are 2-3 months old. We always inoculate our puppies and this time we tried a new method by giving them the serum when they were 6 weeks old and again when they were 9 weeks old. The serum is not very efficient and so many puppies die in Sisimiut that it’s really unbearable to think about. Hopefully ours have now reached an age where it’s likely that they’ll pull through.
